For the last assignment in Keith's lecture, we finally made the decision today what each group was going to do. Carlie, Tasha and myself are going to do the researching for articles on reality TV. We made a start today in the library to find 5 references from various different books on reality TV. One out of the 3 that we found, by Annette Hill was filled with information on really specific things such as, the mannerisms of the people on the shows and also the effects it can have on the audience. We are going to gather 3 references on reality TV in general and the other 2 on Big Brother as it has played a strong part in the world of reality TV for over 10 years.
Once we have these 5 references, Rio and Sinead can get on with coming up with the title for the dissertation half. This is going to prepare us for when the dissertation comes round next year, this is a small start to introducing us into what we have to do for it which is going to be really helpful as I am unsure at the moment of what I am going to chose to do my dissertation on.
