Initial Ideas
During a meeting with Alex and Trevor, our group had a discussion about our indiviual ideas for our tv show which is due to be filmed at the end of November. We had a range of ideas; the birth of Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, Natasha Jonas (Olympic boxer) and a girl who has protested outside designer shops in Liverpool to make them aware they are against them selling fur. Although these 3 ideas were the most different from each other, we have already had some interest from some drama students who would be ideal to interview beacsue they are currently working on shows in local theatres, however this is more local rather than regional which the brief states. If we can get some student from LIPA it would fit the brief better. Also there were some issues with getting Natasha Jonas in because we learned that many other groups have the same idea so therefore we would have to change our idea if another group got in contact with her first. An alternative to that though, we found out there is a new girls boxing team at LJMU which would be ideal for the show, because we can promote this new sport amongst girls which will fit the channel 4 breakfast show brief a lot better. We will continue to discuss our ideas and find the direction we are heading towards with the show as time will soon run out!
