In today's lesson we were learning all about Lego play. It is a team building exercise that many people use in the work place especially when recruiting new people. At first we all had to build a tower and explain why we chose the peices of lego and if there was any significance as to why we chose them to get to know what sort of people we are. I chose a skeleton man and I made him an asymetrical lego platform for him to stand on. I decorated it with flowers clear and neon lego blocks to make it more colourful and interesting. This peice of lego showed to the other groups that I am creative and like bright colours because they give me inspiration to be more creative. We then made a new lego peice about what we think is a key element in a work place. Again I made a platform and put two lego men opposite each other; one man had a hoody on and a scary face and the other had a smiley face. I did this to show that people need to communicate and bond in a work place no matter what their backgrounds or what they look like. This is a big part of team bonding, because if they share the same passion they need to be able to communicate to overcome any obsticles they may face at work together. I really enjoyed this lesson because it gave me and insight into what my classmates though what was a key part in a work place and it was interesting to see that the majority came to the conclusion that it is a strong team leader that a work place needs in order for it to run smoothly.
