My Media

My name is Coral and I have been studying Media for 3 years. I studied Broadcast and Digital Communication at The BRIT School which consisted of Television Production, Web Design, Photography, Film Studies, Music Video Production, Radio, Television adverts and trailers. During my time there I learn alot about the practical and theory side to all areas of media. I didn't warm to Web design as it was too technical for me. The subject I felt most passionate about is Radio Production. It was definatly my strongest point and I produced my own show which was broadcasted out to Croydon on The BRIT school's own radio station. I was also lucky to have been given the opportunity to do a live, hour long broadcast along side Nicky Campbell where the listeners had a chance to view their opinions of television adverts being shown before the watershed. As a massive fan of Radio, particularly Radio 1; this was so exciting for me and it was a great chance to have an insight of what goes on in a hectic studio. My other favourite subject was  Music Video Production and when I made my own music video I very pleased with the outcome and would love to make some more in the future as I am open minded about different genres and would like to try something new. I have recently come to Liverpool to study Media Proffesional Studies as I wanted to carry on what I was most drawn to and I feel I have a lot more to learn about the industry. At this particular time in my studies I don't have a particular preference in which area I would like to go in to, I am still waiting for the penny to drop! Although Radio is definatly something I would I will hopefully get more experience in as I love the production side and the presenter side and I would also like to learn about the management side of production.
